Our Church
New Life at Cornerstone Church (formerly CCI the Bronx) is a Christ-believing church that uses the Bible as the basis of its faith. As believers of the Word, we believe in the creation, fall of man, the conception of Christ, and redemption by His eternal sacrifice. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. After fulfilling His mission here on Earth, He will come again to take those who believe in Him.
For this very purpose, New Life at Cornerstone Church was established – bringing more people to Christ and deepening their knowledge of Him. Before ascending into Heaven, Christ gave all His sons and daughters the task of making disciples of all nations while waiting for His return. We at New Life are dedicated to bringing more people to the saving knowledge of Him.
Our Pastor
Although saved in Church as a teenager, Prophetess Nurita’s unfeigned relationship with the Lord began in 2000, after receiving a Prophetic Word. Upon evidential emergence of the Prophetic Office, Nurita was ordained as a prophet in 2007 and a church elder in 2010 in Christ Church International Inc. in Brooklyn, New York. Nurita was appointed by her then spiritual covering, Apostles James & Donna Duncan, to serve as Administrator, Lecturer, and Dean over the Prophetic Schools as well as assist with the establishment of ministry schools in the Caribbean and South America.
With a keen prophetic eye, Nurita is a true servant, a leader, and a much sought-after Prophetic Teacher and Lecturer. Prophetess Nurita is a New York State Chaplain with LACA (Latin and African American Chaplain’s Association).
In her secular life, Nurita has served on NYC’s City Council as Executive Committee Board-member for Community Boards 5 & 7 in the Bronx, Chairman for Cultural Affairs Committee, Youth Committee Member and Liaison for Faith-Based Initiative, and is a business-woman with years of experience with non-profit-organizations and a string of private day child care centers of her own. Nurita holds not only ministerial licensure but also secular licensure with a Bachelor in Psychology and Dual-Masters in Early Childhood Education/Special Education and is currently a doctoral candidate.
In March 2017, Prophetess Nurita was commissioned to launch and Pastor New Life at Cornerstone Church, formerly known as CCI the Bronx.
Our Vision
Our vision is to teach disciples, both men and women, throughout the nation to know their calling and potential in God by bringing out their giftings in Christ and leading them to their prophetic destiny in God’s Kingdom.
Our Mission
We exist to fulfill the following missions in the name of Jesus Christ:
- To preach Christ’s gospel to the lost
- To make followers of Christ, letting them know and fulfill their calling and potential as disciples of God
- To establish, promote, and maintain services and facilities, both for local and foreign missions
- To attend to the needs of disadvantaged people within and beyond the communities we serve
- To offer Apostolic insight to Bible study groups, churches, fellowships, businesses, corporations, and other Christian groups whose mission and goal are aligned with God’s Word
- To establish and maintain local and foreign Bible Schools to train individuals in the way of the five-fold ministry
- To be accountable to and relate with other Apostolic and Prophetic Global networks which are dedicated to upholding and presenting the truth
- To utilize current media and innovations in sharing the gospel of God’s Kingdom
